Blinkx Acquires Lyfe Mobile

Video search engine Blinkx (LSE: BLNX) has acquired Lyfe Mobile, a 3-year-old startup that delivers targeted ads based on geographic data and other location-based analytics, in an all cash transaction. Lyfe Mobile offers audience-targeting features using GPS data combined with other data points such as weather, traffic and population density, as well as campaign-management tools to help brands deliver targeted ads. The Company offers various mobile ad formats, including display, video and native ads.

UberMedia Closes Series D for an Additional $8 Million

Mobile ad platform UberMedia Inc., has closed a Series D round designed to help the four-year-old company expand its sales force and reach profitability. The $8 million infusion, which boosts UberMedia’s total venture funding to $42 million, comes from Blue Chip Venture Company and Gordon Crawford, former Capital Research and Management Portfolio Manager and Lionsgate Entertainment Board Member.

Tapad Raises $7 Million in Series B-2 Round
