Mobile marketing, media and advertising pioneer and Derek Handley has joined Madison Alley as Special Advisor.
Derek co-founded The Hyperfactory, an agency that creates strategies and builds mobile applications, sites and consumer experiences for brands like Coca Cola, Kraft and Intel. It is the most awarded mobile agency globally. The Hyperfactory was listed by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the Top 100 Brightest Ideas of 2010 and one of Brandweek’s 10 Biggest Ideas of 2008. Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP) acquired the Company in 2010.
In 2011, Derek was named to the ‘Silicon Alley 100’ as one of the most influential technology people in New York. He was also recognized as a World Class New Zealander and Sir Peter Blake Trust Leader. In 2010, Derek was named New Zealand Herald Business Leader of the Year and in 2009, the Ernst & Young ‘Young Entrepreneur’ of the Year in New Zealand.
